Ancient China: Trade
Trading was essential to the Chinese. Since the earliest stage of the civilization, China had been trading locally because of the infertile terrains of the land. The common exports were salt, bronze, cattle, fish, etc. The silk, however, was the main trading product in China that marked a significant economic prosperity. Then, the silk road was developed to trade worldwide. This transportation route was so important for Chinese merchants to transport goods in both the Shang and Han Dynasty. China's outstanding trading methods marked them one of the biggest traders of the world today.
